We did something this past Monday that Caleb had been looking forward to for months. We toured the Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Plant in Montgomery, AL. He read a book about how cars were made back in the spring and has wanted to visit a car plant ever since. There was a three month wait for the tour at Hyundai, but finally the big day came. I’m happy to report that it was worth the wait.

Today marks the one year anniversary of the death and delivery of our daughter Anna. She was stillborn 21 weeks into my pregnancy. Tomorrow will be the one year anniversary of the hardest day of my life…leaving the labor and delivery floor after delivering a baby without her. With only one way in and out you have to be wheeled by the nursery as if you need to be reminded of what you’ve lost.

I just returned from a 5-day mission trip to Mexico with the about 40 men from Johnson Ferry. They go every October. I had not been on a mission trip since my college days, so I was both nervous and excited at the same time.

Love is squeezing into a maternity swimsuit when you are eight months pregnant because your son really wants to go swimming at the indoor pool.

I noticed it was very quiet in the house yesterday morning, so I set off to find out what Caleb was up to.
