An out-of-body experience

Andy

I did something really out of character this weekend. I went to the gym and worked out. It was like an out-of-body experience. I got carried away too, and now I am really feeling it…mainly in my triceps. I felt great afterwards though, so I hope to make it there more often.

Tiffany’s best friend Sarah from Atlanta flew in to see her this weekend. So they hung out and did girl stuff like shop and pluck each other’s eyebrows. Me? I had to dish out a research paper on the four major views of interpreting the book of Revelation. Sounds fascinating huh? The final five week stretch heading into finals will really be hectic. I still have three more papers to write, plus study for exams, plus go to Boston over Thanksgiving. I’m not dreading that though.

We are really enjoying Wedgwood. If you’re thinking, “Hey, weren’t you going to Fellowship Church.” Well we decided that since we bought a house in Fort Worth and were planning on staying around here for more than just my seminary days, it would be a good plan to get involved in a church that wasn’t a 45 minute drive away. I think God has been showing us that the church (the people not the bricks) should live and minister within its own community. It just makes sense. We are really fitting right in at Wedgwood, and Tiffany and I talked about maybe joining next weekend. I’m thinking and praying about what kind of volunteer opportunities might be available at Wedgwood.

So that’s what’s happening in our neck of the woods…I mean shrubs…I forgot we live in Texas where we don’t have woods or trees, at least not what Alabamians consider to be a tree anyway.
