Caleb Do It

Caleb Do It!!! That is the new motto in our house. Caleb has to do everything by himself without any help from parents. I think this is part of why people refer to the twos as terrible.

Caleb wants to dress and undress himself without any help, but when something goes wrong he freaks out. He can’t do it himself, but he doesn’t want any help either. Ahhhh! I can’t win with him.

We are starting to be late every place we go because Caleb has gotten dressed alone, brushed his teeth alone, brushed his hair alone, and gotten in the car alone. It takes him three to ten times longer to do things himself than with a little help from mom.

Most of you know I am a control freak so this is hard for me, but I know this is important part of him growing up and being independent. I guess it wouldn’t be good for him to be 20 and me still pulling up his big boy underwear for him!
