Chicken Confusion

Tiffany

Caleb has finally learned most of his animals with the noise they make. He knows chicken really well and will cluck like one every time he hears the word chicken.

The other night when I sat down to feed him I told him we were having chicken. He starting clucking and looked in the bowl to see the chicken. It didn’t look like the real chicken he was expecting, and he had this very confused look on his face.

Tonight we are having chicken again. How do you tell a toddler the difference between a real chicken that clucks and the chicken from the grocery store that you eat? He is very confused.
