Christmas 2002
Well we’re back from our tour of the southeast (a.k.a. Christmas vacation). We had a great vacation, but boy is it good to be home. It’s our last Christmas before we have a new member of the family.
We traveled from Ft. Worth to Tallassee, AL (about 30 miles NE of Montgomery) to visit Tiffany’s mom, and grandparents. Once there, we celebrated her grandparent’s 50th wedding anniversary, ate good southern home cooking, went deer hunting, played cards, and generally just passed the time chilaxing.
From there we traveled southeast to Tallahassee, FL to visit Tiffany’s grandparents on her dad’s side. It was really nice seeing them as well as Uncle John and Aunt Gloria.
We awoke in a hotel on Christmas morning and traveled west that day to Wagarville, AL (about 50 miles N of Mobile) to see my parents. Since we’ve gotten married, my parents and Tiffany’s mom have moved into the country. It’s a nice break from the city though. We went dove hunting, hay riding, watched “The Fellowship of the Ring,” broke down on the golf cart in the middle of the woods at night (Chris was crying like a baby), played cards, went to Wal-Mart just for entertainment, and ate even more.
We are so thankful to our families for the conversations, the food, the gifts, and the beds.
