Curiosity Killed the Modesty
One of the downsides of having such a curious 4 year old is this. Today Caleb asked Tiffany: “Where did you get those things that Andrew gets to eat with?”
We let Caleb give Andrew his first bottle today, so the subject came up once again. The last time the subject came up, he was satisfied with a discussion of our trip to the dairy farm, and how we get milk from cows. Here’s a picture we took last spring at Cagle’s Dairy Farm. Can’t you just see the wheels turning?

This time he wanted a little more explanation about the differences between boys and girls. Just the other day he wanted to know how his mommy tee-tees. I’m going to really be in for it when he gets a little older. Good grief!

oh, the inevitability of it all! why can’t we keep this information from our kids? :)
we decided a long time ago to have the talk when our oldest was 10 yrs old. that seemed fine at the time, cuz it was “several years away” ... well, he just turned 9 a couple weeks ago, so all of a sudden, its almost here.
I have some ideas about how to “have the talk”, but … it doesn’t mean its going to be easy.

How precious that picture is with Caleb feeding Andrew.
About the curiosity of Caleb is so funny to me. I just keep remembering Tiffany asking me at the meat counter in the grocery store: “Mommy, how do you try to have a baby.” While there were several people standing close and heard what she had asked. My response was that this was not the place to talk about this and for her to ask me again when we got home. Thankfully, she forgot. Caleb, on the other hand is not going to forget, so get ready!!!!!!!!!! I will have a huge grin on my face!
