Easter

How was your Easter? Ours was great. We had a tremendous service at church and an overall relaxing weekend with the family. On Sunday Caleb told me he wanted to take me to see the dinosaurs, an animatronics exhibit going on right now at the Fort Worth Zoo. It was fun, but it was so hot and crowded.

Speaking of hot, we are going through a record heat wave over the last few days here in north Texas. Today the high is supposed to reach 101 degrees. What a change from last spring. Last year, we woke up to snow flurries on Easter morning. I heard that the heat killed off all the bluebonnets too.

Easter also had a little ER drama. He fell and busted his lip. OUCH!

We also invited some good friends over to have Easter dinner with us. Tiffany cooked a masterpiece. Then we let the kids hunt Easter eggs in the back yard. Here is a short movie of that:

We are teaching Caleb that it is okay to get candy, hunt eggs and bust your lip on Easter, but that’s not what Easter is really all about. Easter is about remembering the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, God’s Son.
