Gmail Spam Humor and Recycling Tips

Andy

Gmail offers headline links called “Web Clips” that you can set to display across the top of your mail folders. They are usually just short, quick links to the latest news stories.

Well I ventured over into my spam folder the other day, and besides feeling like I just needed to take a shower when I was done because of all the crud that had built up in there, I got a good laugh.

For the “Spam” folder, instead of the latest news, the Web Clips were displaying these links one at a time. I got a kick out of them, so I scrolled through them all. Here is what I found.”

No thanks, I prefer Super Suppers.

Then I decided to look in the “Trash” folder and once again the Google humor truck made another fresh delivery. They gave me some recycling facts such as:

  • Rubber shoe soles can be recycled to make basketball courts and soccer fields.
  • Newspapers can be reused as wrapping paper for gifts.
  • Film canisters can be reused to store nails, screws, buttons and pins.
  • Unneeded printouts can be cut and stapled to make notepads.
  • Recycled glass bottles can be made into roads, tiles, even surfboards.
  • There is no limit to the number of times an aluminum can can be recycled.

Thanks for keeping your sense of humor, Google. It makes this tedious job of email just a little more enjoyable. If you want a free gmail account, let me know. Though they are free, accounts are given out by invitation only, and I have 99 invitations.
