Graduation Day

Friday was graduation day. After three years of seminary, I am finally done. I told Tiffany, “Hey, you can just call me ‘Master’.” She replied, “Ok, Master, how ‘bout changing that diaper.” And with that I took a gigantic chomp of humble pie!

After the ceremony, we went to lunch at El Rancho Grande, and it just so happens that Dr. Henry Blackaby, whose son had just graduated with me with a PhD, and his family was also at the same restaurant as us. Dr. Blackaby has become somewhat famous for his Bible study material called “Experiencing God.” My off the wall brother-in-law, Chris, was tempted to go up to Dr. Blackaby and say, “If you can’t experience God in a place like El Rancho Grande, something is wrong with you.”

Also over the weekend, we took Caleb to see Santa Clause. I thought for sure that of the two (Santa and Caleb) it would be Caleb who was in the bad mood. You would think that too, right? Wrong, Caleb had a good bit of Christmas cheer that day, but Santa looked like he was up a little too late the night before. He didn’t even smile for the photo. Baa Humbug.
