Halloween Build Up

We have been getting in the Halloween spirit for weeks around our house.

It started with the dozen baby pumpkins we painted for an art project. Then we baked Halloween cookies. Next we completed the costume and started talking to Caleb about Halloween. We have been walking through the neighborhood looking at all of the decorations.

Today we painted the face on our big pumpkin. Then we decorated a bag to hold Caleb’s loot from the big night. We practiced his line for when he rings a doorbell. Since he is a fireman he is going to say, “Trick or Treat, Stop, Drop, and Roll”. His other line is,” Trick or Treat, Change the batteries in your smoke detector”.

Tonight we practiced with Caleb ringing our doorbell, and me answering the door. He is really good at asking for candy. He keeps saying, “Trick or Treat right now!”

We are all really looking forward to tomorrow.
