Handheld Computers

Andy

My boss Pres bought a couple of employees, including me, a handheld computer last week. It’s a Handspring Visor Edge, and it really is small, sleek, and light. You know, I’ve always made of fun (secretly of course) people who toted these gadgets around. They had their little PDA’s in class attached to these keyboards, and they were typing away. I thought they looked funny…and now here i am. I’m one of ‘em.

Maybe Pres knew I needed some help organizing my life. He said when his wife started using one it was life changing for her. Now she lives by it. Could it do the same for me? Could it cause me to not forget to go to the bank, or pick up the dry cleaning? Could it cause me to remember to put the laundry in the dryer? Could it cause me to attract intelligent people? Could it enhance my sense of humor? Could it help me stay consistent in my exercise routine? Perhaps that’s asking a little too much from any electronic device.

I just hope that it will prevent me from entering phone numbers twice. Is that too much to ask? I guess I’ll also have to change my opinion about those who use handheld computers. I guess if you can’t beat them, you might as well join them!
