Happiness

Sometimes it is the simple things in life that bring Caleb the most happiness. He had one of those moments this morning.

I woke up early (not sleeping well these days) this morning and went to the kitchen to bake muffins. About an hour later with warm muffins sitting on the counter, I heard the first signs of Caleb waking up. I went up to love on him as usual, but when I opened his door he sat up and said,” I smell cinnamon streusel muffins. They are my favorite”. He had a huge smile across his face. He jumped out of bed and headed for the kitchen. His favorite way to start the day is with a yummy smell coming from the kitchen. Who wouldn’t like that?
