Happy 30th Birthday, Tiffany

Andy

You’re 30 now…but still as beautiful as ever. I’ve been thinking about you a lot this morning. When I ran across these quotes, they moved me. I’m not kidding. I mean, I felt them. I wanted to call you and them to you right then. But we both know they wouldn’t have come out in the first take like they did in the movie.

So here are a few things I wish I could tell you right here in front of the the world (or at least in front of the half dozen people who read this blog):

“I am nothing special; just a common man with common thoughts, and I’ve led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me, and my name will soon be forgotten. But in one respect I have succeeded as gloriously as anyone who’s ever lived: I’ve loved another with all my heart and soul and to me, this has always been enough.” – From The Notebook

“We need a witness to our lives. There’s a billion people on the planet….. I mean, what does any one life mean? But in a marriage, you’re promising to care about everything. The good things, the bad things, the terrible things, the mundane things….. all of it, all the time, every day. You’re saying ‘Your life will not go unnoticed because I will notice it. Your life will not go unwitnessed because I will be your witness’”. – From Shall We Dance

“Let me always fight for you.” – From me

Let’s rent these movies and watch them together.

That is so sweet Andy and I agree you should watch those movies and take my daughter to dinner! I can not believe I have a 30 year old daughter!

I Love you!

Happy Birthday, Tiffany! I meant to call you today, but the day got away from me. I am SO happy that you were born, that you are in Marietta celebrating your 30th birthday, and that you (& Andy and Caleb!) have come into my life, and into the lives of everyone at RFTH and JF. I already love you and think you’re so very special. Enjoy!!!
