Hello Baby

Tiffany

When I arrived to pick Caleb up from Heather and Rachel’s house today Caleb was waving around a book called Hello Baby. He started begging for me to read it to him. Heather said she had read it to him a dozen times already.

Hello Baby is a book to help prepare your child for a sibling. Rachel is going to be a big sister in a few months. Now Caleb decided he needs a new baby too.

The book shows a mom having a sonogram. Caleb ran and pulled out Heather’s home Doppler and held it up to her tummy. She had let them listen to the baby’s heartbeat since Rachel wanted to show Caleb how it worked. He seemed to understand the whole baby thing really well.

I’m now trying to teach him that he can’t have everything his friends have, but so far it hasn’t worked. He really thinks Mommy needs a baby in her tummy too.

Do you remember when Kayla was in kindergarden, and I went to pick her up from a skating birthday party and every mother asked me about being pregnant? Kayla had decided that she wanted to have a sister or brother so she told everyone that her mommy was going to have a baby. Kayla could tell some very exaggerating stories to say the least!

Oh, and by the way, do YOU remember asking me in the meat department of the grocery store: Mommy, how do you try to have a baby? I’ll never forget! Love You! Mother
