Hey Mom!

Andy

The hard work of motherhood may have been completed more than a decade ago, but now that I’m grown, I see more clearly. I see what it is you accomplished and what it is you sacrificed. Back in the day, you may have wondered what all you were giving up in order to raise kids. It probably seemed thankless. It may have felt overwhelming. It was definitely exhausting, but you kept going.

Of course, I owe so much to Dad too, but being a dad myself, I know that Caleb wouldn’t stand a chance if he only had a daddy.

Thank you. I wish we weren’t 600 miles apart so I could give you a hug. I love you.

And to my Sweetheart!

I know there are days when being a mom feels like the hardest job in the world, when you feel like you desperately need a vacation. I am stunned at how much you can accomplish simultaneously. I have tried to do just some of what you do, and I forget half of the things I’m supposed to remember. I don’t know how you do it. It’s like you have four hands. It’s amazing . . . and you manage to keep yourself looking good too!

Caleb is so blessed to have you! Thanks for being a terrific mom and wife! Because of you, Caleb is turning into a charming little guy. I love you more than ever.

And to my Mom-in-Law

Thanks, Mimi, for being a great mom and wonderful grandmother . . . and thanks for still loving me even though I am keeping your daughter and grandson way out in Texas. You’ve always been supportive and thoughtful, treating me as a son. Happy Mother’s Day!

What a sweet Mother’s Day message! I know your two women must be so honored by such loving comments.

Andy, you were such a joy as a child and you still are, especially adding Tiffany and Caleb to our family. There is not a day that goes by without me being blessed by some memory of being the mother to you and Wendy.
