I Love this Land

America is a great nation. It’s not perfect. It’s great though.

I can go almost anywhere and feel safe. Countless fanatics want to take our freedom, but since 9/11 our government and armed forces have prevented that from happening. Some have criticized our military, yet they willingly put their lives at risk to protect our life and freedoms.

Americans have hope in the future. Across the border, a corrupt Mexican government keeps its citizens in poverty, and many are fleeing to come here. Even while our economy is slumping, the opportunity for hope and success here is incredible.

Neither can you deny her beauty. The white beaches of the gulf coast, the never ending drop to the floor of the Grand Canyon, the majestic mountain ranges, the dense forests, the towering skyscrapers, and the endless deserts have all taken my breath at some point. I have a longing to take my family to experience more of her beauty first hand.

The republican or democrat labels should not be what defines us this weekend. We’re all Americans, and we live in a great country.
