Ivan’s Wrath

My parents who live near Mobile, AL, are safe and sound. Their primary house was spared, but they do have lots of downed trees. My dad will have lots of firewood for the winter.

What’s still uncertain, however, is how their cabin on Mobile Bay fared. [Update: We have received word that the bay house did survive!] My dad, with the help of some family, built the bay house in the mid 70s and it holds a special place in all our hearts.

We also have lots of family and friends throughout southern Alabama, and so far, no bad news to report. Praise God. I’ll keep you posted.
