Joining LifeChurch.tv’s Digerati Team

Andy

For the last two years, I’ve been allowed to poke my head behind the curtain of the LifeChurch.tv web sites and pull a few levers. Each freelance project I dive into with their “Digerati” team pushes and stretches me a step higher. What I love is that they truly get the web. They understand how a message should be designed and communicated over the web. They consistently create great experiences for their site’s users. And most importantly they are passionate about leading people into a relationship with Christ.

And for that reason, I can no longer retain them as a freelance client…because they’ve asked me to join them full-time. So that’s my announcement. At the first of July, I’m joining the crew at LifeChurch.tv with the official job title of—I’m not kidding—Digerati Jedi, which is always a good title when your last name is Knight. That Terry Storch is very persuasive!

Though this decision may come across as an easy one, it was anything but easy. My time at Right From The Heart is coming to an end in a couple of weeks, and it will be hard not getting to see Jim, Lyn, Barry, Fran, and Mary on a daily basis. With this new job, I’m going to be working from home instead of moving to Oklahoma where LifeChurch.tv is based. So, I’ve warned my RFTH family to beware because I’ll be popping in with my two loud boys when they least expect it.

I’m really excited about this opportunity. Please pray that this work-at-home experience works out well.

Congratulations, Andy! When I saw your photo on the YouVersion demo, I kind of wondered if this would happen eventually.

You may not remember me, but we had some classes together in FTW. I recently moved to Knoxville and serve on staff at a church there.

I’m excited for you and your family! I know you’ll be a great help at LifeChurch.tv.

Wow, that’s a great announcement! Congratulations on the new job, especially the new job title. If I were you I’d request an official badge to wear at least around the house. :)

Shame that you’re not moving to OK, though – we could get a cup of coffee or something. Looks like you’ll be working with another acquaintance of mine – Kent Shaffer
