Life in the Wild Ain’t That Wild Afterall

I’m pretty sure that this weekend was the first time a zebra has stuck his head in my car before…and an ostrich has pecked on my window…and I witnessed a giraffe eating out of a sunroof. Yep, you get all this and more at the Fossil Rim Wildlife Center in Glen Rose, TX. My mom and dad visited us over the weekend, and we took them there on Friday.

During the three hour drive through winding roads, the wild animals will come right to the door. They’re not much for chit chat though. They want their gourmet pellets. They may not be gourmet, but they do have a gourmet price: $5.00 for a little brown bag of pellets.

Caleb enjoyed it. He was making his signature Ohhhhhhhh as the first few zebras came close and the ostrich threatened us.
