MySecret.tv

1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess your sins he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

That’s what MySecret.tv is all about.

When Life Church approached me to redesign their site (which is based on a sermon series by their pastor Craig Groeschel), what struck me the most was how shockingly honest people are on the web when they can remain anonymous. I have to warn you, the stuff people are sharing is explicit and disturbing, and it’s generated lots of talk.

If you decide to visit the site, please don’t browse through people’s confessions just to gawk. Hear their pain and their hurt. Pray for them. Leave them an encouraging note. When you read some, you may realize that you are not alone in your struggles. When you read others, you might realize that you are also capable of committing those same sins. 1 Corinthians 10:12 says, “Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed that he does not fall.”

A confession on this site is not the end. It’s generally the first step someone takes in order to find freedom in God’s grace and mercy and the beginning point of experiencing victory.
