No Nap Needed
Caleb decided he didn’t feel like sleeping yesterday afternoon, and he tried very hard to convince me he should be allowed to skip his nap.
It started with him jumping up and down doing “tricks” in his crib. Then he started saying, “I sleep 8 o’clock. It’s not 8 o’clock now mommy.” How do they come up with this stuff? Then the best part came after he had been in there an hour. He started crying very loud while saying,”I not need nap. I happy mommy. Caleb happy…Caleb happy”. It is so hard to believe he is happy while he is wailing.
After about 5 minutes of crying and being happy at the same time he passed out. Two hours later he woke up. That time he really was happy.

I read this post aloud to my wife, and we were both cracking up. We don’t have kids yet, but hopefully when / if we do, they’ll be that inventive. :)
