OnePrayer: Coming to a Church Near You

Andy

This weekend, more than a thousand churches in the US and throughout the world will be participating in OnePrayer.

OnePrayer is a 4-week sermon series emphasis where pastors from each participating church answers the question: If God would answer ‘one prayer’ for the church at large, what would you pray?” Then they title their sermon “Make us ____.”

This project is the vision of the LifeChurch.tv in Oklahoma. Here’s their pastor, Craig Groeschel, discussing OnePrayer:

The mission is not only to bring unity and a prayer emphasis to the church, but to start new churches throughout the world. In one of the weekend sermons each church will collect donations that will go towards starting 500 new churches in Cambodia, India, Sudan, and China.

I had the privilege of assisting the LifeChurch.tv team in the creation of the OnePrayer.com site. My role was taking the beautiful Photoshop file from the designer and slicing it up into HTML/CSS code that works in all the major browsers while preserving the designer’s original masterpiece as much as possible.

I can’t wait to hear about all the great stories that come in through this OnePrayer movement.

Jason and Lori, Thanks for the nice comments and I agree with you about how nice the site is. Although, I must deflect the compliment on that over to the Ninja. He’s behind the cool touches and user experience. I just coded this one :)

Talk to me, Goose
