Our Little Secret
Today is Caleb’s favorite day of the week because he plays at Mrs. Heather and Rachel’s house. They always have a lot of fun planned for him. Today was no exception.
They went to the Science and History Museum and then headed for a ride on the Mini Train. After the train ride Caleb told Mrs. Heather that he needed to potty. She said they would go find a bathroom. Caleb looked at her and said, “My mommy let’s me tee tee ouside like a dog!” .
It’s true. I occasionally let Caleb potty outside if there are no bathrooms around, but only if we are hidden by a tree. I see this as an advantage of having a boy. I never intended for him to share our little secrets when he is out with others though,and I have never mentioned the dog thing. He came up with that on his own!
Thankfully Heather thought the pottying outside seemed like a better idea than hauling both kids to find a bathroom, and she was impressed by his fast thinking in a time of crisis.

I so remember those days!! Forest and Dakota both had their own times when our “little secret” backfired on us. They would just “go” in the yard not taking into consideration that they were not hiding themselves very well. Dakota still uses the sideyard in the summer when we are in the pool and it just doesn’t seem right to run all the way upstairs inside the house to go. Great to have boys in times like that.

Well as you know, when he is at our house and we are outside on the mule, 4-wheeler, tractor, boat, barn, shed, Treek or wherever, we always go outside!
I agree it is easier with boys, but it can be done with girls as well. Things are alot different in the country.
