Our Little Secret

Today is Caleb’s favorite day of the week because he plays at Mrs. Heather and Rachel’s house. They always have a lot of fun planned for him. Today was no exception.

They went to the Science and History Museum and then headed for a ride on the Mini Train. After the train ride Caleb told Mrs. Heather that he needed to potty. She said they would go find a bathroom. Caleb looked at her and said, “My mommy let’s me tee tee ouside like a dog!” .

It’s true. I occasionally let Caleb potty outside if there are no bathrooms around, but only if we are hidden by a tree. I see this as an advantage of having a boy. I never intended for him to share our little secrets when he is out with others though,and I have never mentioned the dog thing. He came up with that on his own!

Thankfully Heather thought the pottying outside seemed like a better idea than hauling both kids to find a bathroom, and she was impressed by his fast thinking in a time of crisis.
