30 Reasons Why—After 10 Years—I Still Can’t Get Enough of Tiffany

This week Tiffany and I are celebrating our tenth anniversary. I’ve written a lot about her on this site, but since it’s my site and she’s my favorite subject, I’m going to do it again.

She deserves it. While writing this list below, I was struck by how much she does for me and the family. Oh my goodness! I couldn’t live without her.

  1. She makes sure the kids stay alive and get the right medicine.
  2. She keeps our entire family organized like you wouldn’t believe.
  3. She makes me coffee every morning.
  4. She plans delicious meals for our family. Night after night, I’m amazed by how great the food is that we eat.
  5. She is almost able to look interested when I talk about technology, web apps, and user interface design.
  6. She makes sure I write things down.
  7. She keeps herself looking great.
  8. She irons all my shirts so I’ll look good.
  9. She lets me rub her legs and back at night.
  10. She stands at our boys’ doors every night to pray for them.
  11. She has wise discernment when it comes to people.
  12. She can cook dinner, hold the baby, write something on the calendar, and talk on the phone at the same time.
  13. She does laundry every day. If I only had two pair of underwear, I’d still be alright.
  14. She does almost all our shopping.
  15. She tells me when my breath stinks.
  16. She likes a good action movie as much as she likes a chick flick.
  17. She likes to listen to talk radio…whenever she’s in a car that quiet enough to hear it.
  18. She gets good books for Caleb at the library.
  19. She loves when I take her to a restaurant.
  20. She loves talking with me.
  21. She has a picture of me on her cell phone. She says it’s because I put it on there and she doesn’t know how to take it off, but I know the truth. She just likes looking at me.
  22. She’s not jealous of my iPhone…or she won’t admit it.
  23. She was singing along out loud to “Song of the South” from Alabama yesterday.
  24. She knows who she is, and doesn’t try to be anyone else.
  25. She may know who she is, but she definitely still has a mysterious streak about her.
  26. She’s a great gift-giver.
  27. She’s an incredible mom. I regret that I forget to tell her how amazing she is and how she is raising two awesome boys.
  28. She brings joy to my life.
  29. She’s changed a lot in the last ten years, but so have I. It doesn’t matter though as long as we are changing together.
  30. She loves me. There are a lot of things in life I have doubts about, but she’s never been one of them.

It’s fitting that this is Thanksgiving week, because I’m more aware than ever how blessed and thankful I am to have her. We’re getting to go on an overnight getaway for the first time in about two years. What a blessed man I am.
