30 Reasons Why—After 10 Years—I Still Can’t Get Enough of Tiffany
This week Tiffany and I are celebrating our tenth anniversary. I’ve written a lot about her on this site, but since it’s my site and she’s my favorite subject, I’m going to do it again.
She deserves it. While writing this list below, I was struck by how much she does for me and the family. Oh my goodness! I couldn’t live without her.
- She makes sure the kids stay alive and get the right medicine.
- She keeps our entire family organized like you wouldn’t believe.
- She makes me coffee every morning.
- She plans delicious meals for our family. Night after night, I’m amazed by how great the food is that we eat.
- She is almost able to look interested when I talk about technology, web apps, and user interface design.
- She makes sure I write things down.
- She keeps herself looking great.
- She irons all my shirts so I’ll look good.
- She lets me rub her legs and back at night.
- She stands at our boys’ doors every night to pray for them.
- She has wise discernment when it comes to people.
- She can cook dinner, hold the baby, write something on the calendar, and talk on the phone at the same time.
- She does laundry every day. If I only had two pair of underwear, I’d still be alright.
- She does almost all our shopping.
- She tells me when my breath stinks.
- She likes a good action movie as much as she likes a chick flick.
- She likes to listen to talk radio…whenever she’s in a car that quiet enough to hear it.
- She gets good books for Caleb at the library.
- She loves when I take her to a restaurant.
- She loves talking with me.
- She has a picture of me on her cell phone. She says it’s because I put it on there and she doesn’t know how to take it off, but I know the truth. She just likes looking at me.
- She’s not jealous of my iPhone…or she won’t admit it.
- She was singing along out loud to “Song of the South” from Alabama yesterday.
- She knows who she is, and doesn’t try to be anyone else.
- She may know who she is, but she definitely still has a mysterious streak about her.
- She’s a great gift-giver.
- She’s an incredible mom. I regret that I forget to tell her how amazing she is and how she is raising two awesome boys.
- She brings joy to my life.
- She’s changed a lot in the last ten years, but so have I. It doesn’t matter though as long as we are changing together.
- She loves me. There are a lot of things in life I have doubts about, but she’s never been one of them.
It’s fitting that this is Thanksgiving week, because I’m more aware than ever how blessed and thankful I am to have her. We’re getting to go on an overnight getaway for the first time in about two years. What a blessed man I am.
